Horror

When it comes down to it i think there is no debating the fact that the late 70’s and 80’s was the golden age of horror films. This has honestly always confused me because based on the technology we have today the 21 century should be able to out do the 70’s and 80’s. I think the issue is Hollywood is to caught up in using CGI to get a scare. If the 1st paranormal activity showed us anything it was that less is more. When you really look at it Horror films from the the 70’s and 80’s succeeded in doing something that 21 century movies haven’t and that is to install your fear in everyday harmless stuff. Not afraid of clowns go watch IT I bet you’ll be avoiding clowns and sewer entrances for for the rest of your life. Hell my mom has a room full of dolls and at night i go nowhere near that room you never know if one is possessed by a serial killer. Here are some of the best from that age:

Friday the 13

Halloween

Texas chainsaw massacre

exorcist

the shining

the omen

nightmare on elm street

IT (yea i know it’s a 90’s film but I’m still putting it in here)
